LARC Events
Welcome to the most fun and meaningful experience you’ll ever have—talking to strangers.
Our 2-hour events are structured yet playful, with grounding exercises, shared agreements, and rotating rounds of one-on-one or small-group conversations. You’ll meet new people, swap stories, and pick up simple tools for listening and connection that last long after the night ends.
Come curious, leave connected.
Is this you?
Do you wish it felt easier to start conversations — without being awkward?
Do people often tell you “I’ve never shared this with anyone…”?
Do you freeze in small talk but come alive in deeper conversations?
Do you leave random, deep conversations thinking…“More of that, please”?
Do you want to feel more confident starting meaningful conversations — with friends, family, colleagues, or strangers?
If you're nodding “yes”... this was made for you.
Why LARC Matters
You’ve had that feeling — a conversation where something clicked.
You felt open. Present. Like something deeply impactful just happened.
But most of us were never taught how to create that with one another.
How to go first. How to listen effectively. How to create real face-to-face connection — anywhere.
That’s what LARC helps you practice.

“LARC is a profound reminder of how the connection we so deeply desire in life is always one conversation away - whether it is finding presence in a chat with a random stranger, or asking that random question that comes to mind while talking with a loved one. Tom Karrel is a master at connecting people across generations and backgrounds in a down-to-earth way… I have gained conversation skills, and always left LARC events feeling energized and fulfilled. I believe everyone can benefit from attending LARC!”

“Everyone with whom I had a conversation opened up my eyes to different ways of thinking and living. An experience like that is truly energizing. In the monthly two-hour sessions, I met people I never would have known, expanding my circle of friends and giving me the chance to explore my own preconceptions in a friendly, safe atmosphere… LARC requires trust, relative quiet, and a mutual desire to connect that I don't see in my ordinary life. As a result of LARC, I reached out to others and formed a similar conversation group that meets weekly. It’s become an important part of our lives. People love the chance to have deeper conversations free of all the usual banter, gossip and chit chat that passes for ‘communication.’”

“LARC invites us to ask the question, then truly listen to the response. In that moment, the magic happens and a deeper unexpected bond is created with another individual whom we may have never had the opportunity to have gotten to know before. It is these kinds of experiences that enrich our lives.”
