Giving The Leaders Of Tomorrow Life’s Most Important Skill: How to Have Better Conversations
The Lost Art of Random Conversations equips highly ambitious but socially under-prepared students with the core conversation and relational skills required to lead in their community, improve mental health, and develop lasting relationships in a lonely, anxious, post-COVID world addicted to their phones.
Your students have big dreams. They are intelligent, capable, and have access to world-class educational resources…
But there's a crucial gap between what they're learning and what they actually need to thrive out in the world.
Setting Your Students Up For Success.
The most effective leaders are not the smartest or most outspoken—they’re the best at initiating conversations and developing trusting relationships. Emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust predict leadership success more than technical expertise. Teams with high-trust relationships perform better. Organizations led by deeply connected leaders retain talent longer.
And with the onset and impact of AI, these face-to-face relational skills are more priceless than ever.
What Students Will Learn
At its core, LARC teaches a foundational shift: Be interested in people before trying to be interesting to them.
Students will walk away with:'
A copy of our LARC Book
An introduction to the three-part LARC Method for initiating and leading any conversation in career and personal life.
Students will learn how to:
Ground themselves when anxiety spikes
Regulate their emotions
Listen effectively
Ask questions that build trust
Navigate conflict and feedback when conversations get uncomfortable
How It Works
In a 2-3 hour interactive live event (single or series), students (and/or faculty) are guided through 2-5 structured conversations and communication exercises to break through social anxiety and build confidence that transfers immediately into their academic, professional, and personal lives.
We’ve watched rooms of anxious students walk in with hesitation and overwhelm and walk out grounded, energized, and confident. The group will experience a professionally-facilitated structure, clear agreements, and a ton of fun.
