Come Curious. Leave Connected.
Meet Tom Karrel - Founder & Lead Facilitator
For over 11 years, Tom has been solving a problem most leaders didn't even know they had: helping teams move beyond professional politeness into the kind of authentic connection that actually drives results.
With 10,000+ hours of group facilitation experience and a Master's in Public Health & International Development, Tom has guided everyone from high school students to C-suite executive teams through conversations that transform workplace and community culture. As a Board Certified Life Coach trained in Strategic Intervention and certified in Restorative Justice facilitation, he brings both the science and the art of human connection to every event and workshop.
The results speak for themselves
Groups and teams that walked in as polite strangers consistently walk out as groups that actually trust each other - leading to measurable improvements in collaboration, personal and professional confidence, and the ability to form strong, lasting relationships.
Drawing from five years living and working in East Africa, travels to 40+ countries, and extensive work across public, private, and nonprofit sectors, Tom understands that great conversations transcend cultural and professional boundaries. He's the published author of two books - *The Lost Art of Random Conversations” and “Listen. Think. Act.” - and co-author of five public health research papers. But his real expertise lies in creating psychological safety and social trust where breakthrough moments happen naturally.
Why teams, groups, and universities choose Tom
He doesn't just teach communication theory - he facilitates the actual experience of connection. Your team and group leaves with both the tools and the confidence to build stronger relationships with clients, colleagues, and each other.
